Tamar Queen is the co-founder of the The Almost Knew Theatre Company. As the company's artistic director she has directed Stars In Our Eyes: A concert evening and Broadway Love Songs: A concert evening. She has also acted in Rosemary with Ginger at The Kraine Theatre in February of 2006. Tamar also helped direct Gender Benders and served as the show's MC.

Tamar received training from Binghamton University, where she obtained her degree in Judaic Studies with a minor in Theatre. At Binghamton, she appeared in Lend Me a Tenor, The Vagina Monologues and Betty's Summer Vacation. Her directing credits at Binghamton include A Chorus Line and Songs For A New World.

In New York, Tamar can be seen on One Life to Live as a background actor. She is currently employed full-time with a community program as the director of after-school and 'tween programming.
